We envision building a better World for all its Inhabitants, by facilitating the efforts that will ultimately provide access to life-saving basics such as; clean water, nutrition, healthcare, education – in other words a better and more livable Environment for all.
More than half of the World’s population is currently living in a low-income and food-deficient country. These Countries are struggling and are unable to provide a clean Environment, good nutrition and quality education for the majority of their population. Globally, more than one-third of all children are malnourished and each year more than six million children lose their lives due to causes related to malnutrition.
Numerous donor agencies, foundations and individuals have contributed in the form of vast monetary donations , in order to improve the quality of life. Amongst others The World Health Organization, The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, Food and Agricultural Organization, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, United Nations Development Program and United Nations Environment Program, all of which are working tirelessly since their inception in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s. Despite this, there is still much, much more that needs to be done.
Therefore, the agenda of GSNEH is to petition and hopefully even reform government and non-government agencies, so that these may better orchestrate their funding priorities, in order to meet and address the growing list of issues that are the result of poverty and the issues pertaining to insufficient air, soil and water quality.
Although the Members of the Society are spread across the Globe, each member is willing to offer advice and consultancy to government bodies, educational establishments and the private sector, in order to further improve the quality of life, for all.
